As a fandom newsletter for a large fandom, reborn_daily is a huge undertaking, which is why we're open to accepting volunteers onto the staff to help lighten the load. When volunteering, you'll be asked to specify whether you'd like to be a regular editor or a back-up editor. Both of these positions are equally important. As a regular editor, you'll be expected to have your update up by 5 AM EST the next day at the latest. The time at which you update is up to you, but it must be up by that time. It is also a common courtesy to inform us through locked posts in the main community that you will not be able to make your post if that is looking like the situation so that a back-up editor can start working on their edition. As a back-up editor, you'll be expected to watch the community for back-up requests from regular editors as well as pay attention to when updates aren't made. If you're taking someone's request, comment on it before you start preparing your edition so that you don't collide with any other volunteers. If an update hasn't been made by 5 AM EST, you're also welcome to start working on an edition under the assumption that the regular updater will not be able to make their deadline.
